Potter Ashlynn Zulinski at her potter’s wheel in Dover Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Delaware. “To me, work means getting out of bed every single morning loving what you’re doing to create a life for yourself.” Says Zulinski. “I’ve learned over the years that life slows down for no one. I have endured multiple lifetimes of poverty, tragedy, heartbreak and loss. For a long time, I let those things define who I was as a person and I allowed those emotions to run my life for me. Today, I'm at the realization, that if I do not get up every single day with the purpose and intent on creating a beautiful and better life for myself, I will never have the life I want. Tragedies happen, hearts get broken, and we lose people we love often. My artwork gives me purpose and beauty at once. My work means I am able to share my gift while using this form of creative therapy to shape my future into something I desire.” (Photo by Jane Therese)
